Tony Abena

Tony Abena is senior vice president, Law Firms, for Thomson West, the foremost provider of electronic workflow solutions to the U.S. legal profession and a business within Thomson North American Legal, a strategic business unit of The Thomson Corporation. He is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth by executing programs and launching new products and services that maximize customer value to this line of business. This includes developing overall business strategy and go-to-market execution for solo, small, medium and large law firms in the United States.

Mr. Abena brings significant experience in technology executive management and business growth creation to his position. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief technology and operating officer at techies.com, an online technology recruitment company. Prior to that, Mr. Abena served in a variety of executive roles, including vice president of business development and president of Gartner Institute, at Gartner Group, the world's leading information technology research and advisory company. He has co-founded and sold two technology start-ups and sits on the boards of three information-driven early-stage companies.

Mr. Abena earned his MBA from the University of Minnesota and his bachelor's degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Ore.
