Rick King
Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, Thomson North American Legal and Thomson West

Rick King is executive vice president and chief operations officer for Thomson North American Legal, a strategic business unit of The Thomson Corporation and the foremost provider of electronic workflow solutions to the U.S. legal profession. Mr. King leads the Thomson West Technology, Customer Experience Operations, Content Operations, Business Operations and Managed Technology Services organizations.

Mr. King has been with Thomson for six years, most recently serving as chief technology officer (CTO) for Thomson Legal & Regulatory. In this role, he was responsible for the organization's overall corporate technology strategy and direction, as well as overseeing the management of all technology components and initiatives that create value for the business, customers and employees. Prior to that Mr. King served as senior vice president of Global Technology for Thomson Legal & Regulatory. He joined Thomson via the Dialog business unit where he was executive vice president and CTO. Before Thomson, Mr. King held executive-level positions at Ceridian Employer Services, Jostens Learning and WICAT Systems Inc.

Mr. King holds master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Vermont.
