Tom Moran
Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Thomson North American Legal and Thomson West

Tom Moran is senior vice president of Human Resources for Thomson North American Legal, a strategic business unit of The Thomson Corporation and the foremost provider of electronic workflow solutions to the U.S. legal profession. Mr. Moran's primary responsibilities are providing HR oversight to the emerging Thomson North American Legal businesses and Thomson West, and driving a high-performance culture across the organization.

Mr. Moran has more than 28 years of experience in human resources and employee/labor relations. He most recently was senior vice president, Human Resources, for West. Prior to that, he was vice president, Human Resources Operations, at West. He joined Thomson Legal Publishing (TLP) in 1996 and played a key role in the successful TLP/West Publishing integration by developing and driving the employee transition initiatives.

Before joining Thomson, Mr. Moran was vice president, Human Resources, for the Personal Products Division of Bausch & Lomb in Rochester, N.Y. He also served as director of Corporate Human Resources and manager of Employee Relations for Bausch & Lomb's eyewear division. Prior to that, he served in various labor relations roles for FMC Corporation in Michigan, New York and New Jersey.

Mr. Moran earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and political science from American University in Washington, D.C. He also earned a master's of science in industrial psychology from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.
