Cathy Zappa
Senior Vice President of Finance, Thomson North American Legal and Thomson West

Cathy Zappa is senior vice president of Finance for Thomson North American Legal, a strategic business unit of The Thomson Corporation and the foremost provider of electronic workflow solutions to the U.S. legal profession. Ms. Zappa drives the development of financial strategies that support the business and growth goals of Thomson North American Legal and its businesses Thomson West, Thomson Elite, FindLaw, Carswell and West Education Group.

Ms. Zappa has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of accounting and financial management positions. Before joining Thomson, she served as division chief financial officer for the Industrial and Automotive Business at Valspar Corporation. Prior to that, Ms. Zappa served as global chief financial officer for Honeywell International's Building Services business based in Minneapolis and held several leadership and international roles over her 15-year tenure with Honeywell. She has also held financial and accounting positions with the Pillsbury Company, 3M and the Gillette Company.

Ms. Zappa has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota and is a certified public accountant.
