What is Westlaw Text Only?
Westlaw Text Only is an all-text interface that optimizes Westlaw access for users of screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice-recognition software, and other assistive technologies. The text-only interface is also ideal for Westlaw subscribers with slower Internet connections.
What can I do with it?
Westlaw Text Only provides the functionality of West's extensive content and editorial enhancements within a frameless, intuitive interface. Use it to:
Conduct searches. Abundant pull-down menus for database identifiers and other search restrictors make it easy to start new searches and modify old ones.
Find documents by citation. Direct histories, negative indirect histories, and case-related references are all clearly indicated.
Check citations in KeyCite®. Your search results will appear as a cite list in a frameless screen, complete with KeyCite flags for quick access to headnotes, synopses and other West editorial enhancements.
Choose delivery options. A Print/Deliver link at the bottom of each document lets you e-mail the document, send it to your printer, download it, or fax it.
Access the Westlaw Directory. The directory uses an outline format that expands to show all database options, and symbols clearly indicate when there are no more databases below an outline level.
